Avoid the ghosts and eat all the pills in the maze

Thanks McDonald for shaping a new generation of restaurant patrons that want some game with their salads. A lot of good casual restaurant franchise have integrated the value of kid recreation zones in their business model. But why do the kiddos get all the fun while parents fall asleep in their fajitas ? Indoor entertainment with food came back to me recently through this article by Scott Adams, father of Dilbert and also restaurant entrepreneur.  Then I went to surf to this place: uWink is the latest business venture of Atari and Chuck-E Chesse founder and video game first pope Nolan Bushnell. They have replaced the wait staff with interactive table with touchscreens and family games. Now I feel like the world is ready for such experiences, including the most immersive ones. It won’t take long before we take the wiimote to our favorite pizza joint (spreading crust bits and greasy peperonni while fighting for our life and honour with the father of next tables’ kids).
