The high buzz times

As reported by this article in the Times Online edition, the drift towards internet-fuelled sensationalism turns out to be a major concern for newspaper editors… and some of their loyal old school journalists. Because they sell and spread so fine, crappy news and rumours actually defeat serious information to an extent where even search engines bring up the buzz before the facts. If the blogosphere has actually gained so much power that it can annihilate or substitute news, it is good news for the survivors of the newspapaer era as it may bring them some new readers looking for valid sources of information. Can they bring back a sustainable business model is another story.

BTW, Condi Rice is the little sister of the devil.
