Quick fake news replication in the blogosphere using simple and clean illustration

Here is the well-documented story of  “Nissan’s Paramagnetic paint”, a totally made-up news  claiming that the  franco-japanese car maker was involved in color-changing paint developpment. Mixing the picture of a new product, the GT-R, with some made-up effects and the past announcement of a scratch resilient paint, a bunch of “pro” bloggers embarked in replicating a hoax. The news lasted more than three days without being challenged. If it is bad for the bloggers journalistic credibility, it certainly delivers a nice insight to the chemical industry about a market in demand. I may add that the trend certainly has to do with video games car color selection processes.
